Home Learning 18/05

Dear Eagles,

I hope that you all had a lovely weekend. This weekend, I made some chocolate brownies, enjoyed the sunshine in my garden and went on two very long walks where I live.

I’m still enjoying seeing your learning on SeeSaw so keep on sharing what you’re up to so keep on posting and if you can’t complete all of the tasks, please don’t worry.

TTRS – this week the battle is a little bit different: KS2 girls verses KS2 boys. It starts Monday morning at 9am and finishes at 3.15pm on Friday so get battling!

Well done to the girls that won last week’s battle and congratulations to Tilly, Euan, Cassidy, Benjamin, Henry and Anna-Sofia for coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd for their team. I will upload these certificates onto SeeSaw for you.

Remember that there is also BBC Bitesize and The Oak National Academy that you can use to supplement your learning on the links below:

Monday 18th

English – The Cabinet of Curiosities

This shop actually exists and is in the village of Haworth in North Yorkshire. It is like stepping back in time, filled with weird and wonderful items at every turn.

Think of Harry Potter/a magician’s shop and write down things that you see or might see in this shop. Now, be as creative as possible and turn these into expanded noun phrases.

Today you’re going to use these ideas and write a description of what you might see through the window. This will be a paragraph or a collection of paragraphs.
