Out: 18/9/20                  My timeline                   Due: 9/10/20
Our topic this term s ‘All about me’
We have been thinking about our families, friends and other groups we belong to. We have also been talking about all the things we can do now that we couldn’t do as a baby.

For the Brain Builder homework we would like the children to create their own timeline of key events in their life so far, from birth up to the current day. They can include information about themselves: their family, pets, their hobbies, interests, personality, special talents, and any of their hopes and dreams for the future. The children might like to include some photos of themselves too.The children will have the opportunity to share their Brain Builders in class show and tell tasks.

Have fun! :)

This week the children were given their own packs of dominoes with suggested Maths
games to use at home. These do not need to be returned to school. Enjoy!

W.C 31.8.20 - This week the children will be bringing home a reading book.
The children will be bringing home reading books today. Please try and read on a regular basis with your child and sign their reading record book. Remember to spend time discussing books read with your child as understanding what is read is very important. In school children will read on a regular basis and comprehension skills will be taught throughout the year. Children could also be encoraged to read books from home. Rereading familiar, favourite stories really helps to develop children's confidence.
Weekly homework and spellings linked to learning in school will be sent home once the children are settled into their new class.

Please practise logging into to Purple Mash. (log in details should be in the front of the Reading Record Books)
