Homework

All maths home learning is now on Seesaw, and on here.  All children have a log in and password and know how to use it.

Should you require paper copies for any reason, please let me know. I will not be providing paper copies of maths home learning unless I have had written confirmation from a parent/ carer.   No home learning task will require anything to be printed at home (if it does, this will be provided for the children to take home); it can either be done straight onto Seesaw or completed on a separate piece of paper.  Please try to take a photo and upload any work to Seesaw rather than bringing in pieces of paper to school.

Should parents or carers have any questions or concerns regarding the use of SeeSaw, please speak with Miss Fuller or a member of the school office.

SeeSaw is a fantastic tool for schools. It helps to save paper and is convenient for teachers, students and families alike. Families can leave notes/comments on homework to be seen by the teacher.  It also helps to keep homework organised by avoiding loose sheets of paper. I know that the children found SeeSaw to be a brilliant tool during the Covid-19 school closures, and are very keen to continue using this into the current academic year.

Please find your home learning / work below.  Remember that in Y5 you have spellings every week.  Times tables using TT rockstars.
Reading daily - to an adult, or an adult asking you questions about what has happened in your book.
1 maths or English task, linked to your learning in school - 30 minute activity.

Your reading record is handed in every TUESDAY for us to check you have read.  Remember to read to an adult or ask them to ask you questions about your book.

Maths and English home learning is handed out on Thursday and due in on Wednesday.  You can hand it in earlier - but you need to make sure you learn your spellings!  Spellings are tested on Wednesday.
I have also provided the statutory spellings for year 3&4 and year 5&6.  Please practise these.
