Homework in Eagle Class will be sent out on a Thursday and due back the following Wednesday.

Each week, homework will consist of:

  • One piece of Maths AND English which should take about 20 minutes each
  • Spellings to be learnt for a spelling test every Wednesday
  • Daily reading to an adult or independently
  • Times Tables Rockstars
  • Brain builder (one per half term)

The main homework task and spelling lists each week can be accessed via SeeSaw and the school website. Should children wish to obtain a paper copy of the homework task, this will be made available in a designated space within the classroom, where children can help themselves.

Children have their own personal login to the site/app which have been handed out in school and are in their reading records.

Should parents or carers have any questions or concerns regarding the use of SeeSaw, please speak with Miss Tracy or a member of the school office.

SeeSaw is a fantastic tool for schools. It helps to save paper and is convenient for teachers, students and families alike. Families can leave notes/comments on homework to be seen by the teacher. It also helps to keep homework organised by avoiding loose sheets of paper. I know that the children found SeeSaw to be a brilliant tool during the Covid-19 school closures and are very keen to continue using this into the current academic year.

I have also attached the Year 3/4 and 5/6 spelling lists below. These are words that the children should be able to spell by the end of KS2.
