The children have all been working very hard over the past half term. They have certainly settled into Year one very well and are coping excellently with new rules, routines and challenges. It is wonderful to see the children making steady steps of progress and most importantly enjoying school life.
Thank you for supporting children with their reading and homework tasks and encouraging them to come into school independently in the mornings.
I hope you all have a lovely half term break.

10.9.21 Baby photos
Topic work - Please could the children bring in a small photo of themselves when they were a baby. It would be helpful if you could talk with your child about the things they liked doing when they were babies and write a couple of things down which the children could bring in with their photos.
The children will be using this information in their topic writing.
Thank you

Friday 3rd September 2021
   Dear  Parents and carers
I hope you have all had a wonderful summer break and enjoyed some family time together.
It has been lovely to meet up again with the children after the summer break, they have all settled back into school life very well and have been coming into school happily. They all look so smart in their school uniforms. Thank you for your cooperation in the mornings by encouraging your children to come into class independently. The children have had a busy couple of days exploring their new learning environment and getting used to new routines.
If you have any concerns please let me know, I am available most days after school.
I have got to know the children but I know it will take me a while to get to know the parents, grandparents and carers. I apologise if dismissing the children at the end of the day takes a little while at the moment.
I have added lots of pictures to our class gallery for you to enjoy :)
I am looking forward to the academic year ahead.
Mrs Barrow

September 2021

 Morning routine

We aim to settle the children quickly in the mornings. Please say goodbye to your child in the school playground and encourage them to carry their own belongings into school. At the start of the Autumn term I will be present in the playground each morning to greet the children. If you have any queries please contact the school office. You can leave a message with the office staff and if necessary I will contact you as soon as I can.

Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
