Maths project - cupcake ingredients

As part of a Maths project this term, Y6 will be making cupcakes next week (Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th June). We would appreciate it if the children could bring in the following items/ ingredients by Monday (either weighed out or not):

-          A (small, preferably plastic) mixing bowl and spoon in a named plastic bag

-          250g butter

-          120g caster sugar

-          120g self-raising flour

-          2 eggs

-          275g icing sugar

(I will have the milk, cupcake cases and vanilla extract available!)

(Optional: decorations, food colouring, cocoa powder (swap 1tbsp for 1tbsp of flour)/ lemon or another flavouring if you don't want vanilla flavour)

We will have some of each available in school if you are unable to provide these. If they would like to bring them in on Friday due to the logistics of Bikeability next week, that is absolutely fine!

Many thanks!

Walking and mobile phones
In Year 6, children are permitted to walk to and from school by themselves with parental permission. Letters will be handed out this week so please ensure these are signed and returned before children walk alone. Due to this, children are also able to bring their mobile phones, if they have one, for safety on the way to and from school if you would like them to. Children will be reminded of the rules around this in school, but please do not send children in with mobile phones until the permission slip has been signed, and unless it is absolutely necessary. These will be given to children this week as well.
