Year 3 Home Learning

Types and amount of homework

Progression is planned from Reception to Key Stage Two through the provision of appropriate activities and the increasing expectations we have of our children and the amount of homework that they are given as they move up through the school.

Reading

Ideally daily but no less than 4 times per week to be record in your child’s reading record, signed by adult.

Spellings

Set on a Thursday and tested on a Wednesday. Paper copies will be sent home via book bags and can be found on EdShed.

Maths

Maths homework will be set weekly via the class homework page on the school website (See below).

Extras

Times Tables Rockstars - A speedy times table test will take place on a Friday.

Brain Builder:

Once per half term.  A paper copy will be sent home via the brain builder books and an electronic copy will be available below.

Please complete these homework tasks on a weekly basis, rather than all in one go. No additional work above this will be provided should you complete the tasks early. Please ensure that you mark the homework with your child. Instant feedback is far more beneficial for children's progress. The answers are provided below.
